Just about anyone can come up with an idea, put together a team, and launch a product, but then comes the hardest part…getting heard.

I mean, how do you compete with the millions of other startups out there working for the same attention? You don’t, you take a step back, gather your team, and agree that you’re going to put together a fluid plan, stick to it, and never, ever, give up.

When your success is dependent on you being heard, you better be tough enough to stick it out – most people will give up.

If you want to win in this game, you have to look at the long-term and have some balls. When you get punched in the face, you have to jump right back up and get in the ring. Pussies don’t win here – people with stamina and a can do attitude win this game.

Now, be disciple and stick to it. If you want to get heard in a noisy marketplace, you need to eat, sleep, and live out your message. Be obsessed. And never give up.

Have you ever thought of life as a pool game? Probably not unless you either own a table or you play all the time.

Well here it is, life as a pool game.

First you setup the rack, you get ready to break, you line up your shot and you break the balls with the hope that at least one of the balls goes in. If one of the balls goes in you continue lining up your shots with the hope that you take it all the way to the eight. How often do you take it all the way to the eight? Probably not very often. Most of the time you probably find yourself hitting the balls around trying to get them all in without scratching or hitting in the eight. Is this true?

Now think of your life, how often do you get things all lined up thinking you are going to take it all the way home, yet to find yourself either scratching or hitting in the eight? I know for me I find myself getting all excited about something, get it all lined up and scratch, something goes wrong. Then you get all frustrated and upset that once again something did not goes as planned or as “lined up”. Then you leave with your head down and your tail between your legs.

This is when you get excited. Why? Because this is a great opportunity to walk away with an attitude of bettering yourself. A winning attitude. This is when you collect yourself, refocus, line things up and break into it again.

The goal is to never give up, to keep pushing forward because as James 4:14 says “Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.”

We are all humans some more gifted then others. Yet we all have the opportuity to win the game. What matters most is not that you win the game but who becomes the champion in the end?

Keep racking em, keep breaking em, and you will be sure to come home a champion.
