ARE YOU TAKING THE TIME TO ACKNOWLEDGE?

Is it not true that everyone wants to be acknowledged in this world? I mean, who doesn’t like being acknowledged? Even animals like feeling welcome around.

Think about this for a second. If you walked into a party and no one noticed, welcomed you, or even acknowledged your being, how would that make you feel? How about small, not wanted, and insecure? This is at least how I would feel.

CURIOUS WHO’S TWEETING THESE DAYS?

Curious who’s tweeting these days and how you might be able to reach them? Or maybe why you’re not reaching them? Take a look at this well done infographic by Column Five Media and see what you can find.

Just this past month Pew Research took a survey of 2,277 twitter profiles and found that twitter adoption among U.S. Internet users has increased by leaps and bounds. I wasn’t all that amazed by this, but what I was amazed by was who’s really using twitter.

However, something you need to know is that it all starts with you. The community might not have to really change, you just might be the one who has to change. Unless you can change yourself, you can’t change your community. You are the game changer almost all the time.

CAN WE USE CROWD SOURCING TO BUILD THE NEXT CHURCH?

Are you ever just blown away with the power of the crowd and how connected we are today? About five years ago I signed up for a Google alert, called crowd sourcing.

Crowd sourcing is the idea that when you outsource tasks or things, traditionally performed by an employee or contractor, to an undefined, large group of people or community (a “crowd”), through an open shout out, you begin to make much larger things happen. This is an uncontrolled idea verses a typical controlled idea and usually happens through new forms of communication such as social media.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE?

I have been thinking through this idea of the tangible and intangible realms and how they are connected. I really started thinking about this idea about 3-4 years ago when social media started to take place of the tangible realm. Maybe not 100% but it was definitely starting to have a pretty serious affect on it. And still does today. Can we change this? I think so.

People all over the world connecting in the intangible realm, but never bringing it back to the tangible realm to experience reality. I remember watching everyday people, not companies or influential leaders on facebook and twitter with two, three, and four thousand friends. Seriously?

13 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO START LIVING OUT YOUR BRAND

Are you walking, living, eating, and breathing your brand? Or are you crawling around complaining, whining, and criticizing others about their brands. Losers do these things. This is not how you build a brand and this is for sure not how you live out a brand. WAY

Think of the Olympic runner training to win the Olympics. Often training for years. Their commitment is stronger than anyone I have ever seen. Daily, they live, eat, and breathe their career as a runner. They are consumed with anything and everything that it takes to win. You will never find an Olympic runner sitting around complaining, whining, or criticizing others. Instead you will find them making things happen by living, eating, and breathing their careers as runners.
