MEGA VISION

Do you have a mega vision? Or is your vision very micro and nothing of any worth? Might it be time to throw out your ridiculously small-minded vision and come up with a mega vision for yourself, maybe your company, our country, and our world?

Don’t settle for a small vision. Small visions don’t change the world. Small visions don’t get us or you out of challenging times. Small visions are pathetic and pathetic is something we need less of these days.

POSITIVE RESULTS OF FAILURE

Have you ever failed? And after the failure, were you able to look beyond the failure and see all the positive results of those failures?

For me, I’ve always been very good at this, being that I was an athlete and I always had to look at failure as a way of winning. And If I looked at it any other way I would continue losing. It’s when you look at failure as a way to win, that you actually start failing to win – and this is what you want!

9 THINGS YOU SHOULD GIVE A SHIT ABOUT

Two weeks ago I walked into an office for a meeting and there it was, one of the greatest signs that I have yet to see. It said, “Give a shit”. I thought to myself, this is brilliant and very fitting for where people are at today, they just don’t really care.

When I asked about the sign, one of the employees at the company said that just a few days before our meeting the president of the company printed out tons of these signs and went around sticking them everywhere in the office.

SIMPLE THINGS YOU CAN DO EVERYDAY WHEN JUST STARTING OUT

This is a guest post by Tamaryn Tobian, founder of Spectacle Creative Media in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You can follow her tweets on Twitter. If you want to guest post on my blog, please, check out the guidelines here.

In the last nine months or so, I’ve learned more things and experienced more life changes than I had pimples during puberty.  That’s what following your gut and jumping into risk with both feet does. Why so many life changes?  I started my own business – a creative communications company.

In truth, it seemed like a crazy idea. In this economy? Especially when I started to count how many other little creative agencies and studios there are in my city. There’s a lot of them. But, I did it anyway.

4 POINTS ON COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE AND WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER IT

How intelligent do you really think you are? I would go to bat saying that you are not nearly as smart as you think you are. I know I’m not as smart as I think I am sometimes! Now, where I am smart, is at leveraging a group of people who have come together after social collaboration and competition to make intelligent decisions.

If you are not making decisions this way today, you better start. With all the social tools, and new technology advances that we have at our finger tips we are able to make far more intelligent decisions than ever before.

23 COMMON ATTRIBUTES THAT ALL SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEURS SHARE

Whatever your beliefs, after years of being a business man and surrounding myself with other successful business men and women, I’ve found there to be a number of common attributes that we share. Please take a few minutes to read through and see if you agree.

If you don’t have the skills, don’t worry about it either. Most of the skills, I’ve gotten by screwing up. Yup, screwing up. We all do it and it’s just the way it is. If you think you are any different you are wrong. Sorry.

GO ALL OUT OR DON’T GO AT ALL

If you are going to go, why not go all out? This makes me think of people who say, “I will just run the 5k and that will be good for me. When really in their head they would love to work up to the 25k or the marathon. This is awesome!

Why not go after the marathon? Not that this is going to happen over night either, but you can do it! It can happen! It will take some pretty serious hard work and dedication, but why not? Why not go all out?
