I hope everyone had a great June and you’re preparing for an awesome 4th of July with family and friends!
In case you missed them, here are my top 10 posts for May 2011. It was a great month for me with lots of really cool things going on! I had several speaking engagements, new projects, and my wife and I are preparing to move to Cali at the end of this month.
Here are my top ten posts:
Some of my personal favorites were “ITS NEVER TO LATE TO TELL YOUR DAD HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT HIM” and “HOW ARE YOU LIVING YOUR DASH”.
I am not including it as one of my blog posts, but my About page continues to be near the top visited pages on my site. If you are a blogger, it is super important to create a powerful about page. Michael Hyatt actually talks about it in a blog called, “10 Ways to Create a Better About Page for Your Blog.”
In the month of May, I started giving away books to my top 10 commenters on my blog. The reason for this was to get more engagement and to build a community, but for some reason it is not happening like I thought.
I have no idea why I can’t get people to comment and interact, I mean come on, I am even willing to give away sweet books. Here is the interesting thing, I get lots of traffic, and hundreds of people email me and send me social media messages that they love reading and following my blog. I am stumped. Let me know if you have any ideas. You can contact me either through twitter, facebook, or my contact page.
Again, I would really love to hear your comments and be able to interact and reply back. My biggest goal is that together we would build a community of people who travel together, learn from one another, and go out and make things happen in the world.
- Note: To those who want to start commenting: You can sign up for a free Disqus account by clicking here. I use this commenting software on my site because it offers the best system for building a community and allowing interaction. Also, when you comment it will create a link back to your blog or Website. If you want you can even upload an Avatar, so that we can see what you look like. This makes it more personal and social.
Let’s GO make this happen.
Question for you? What was your top post for June, 2011?
