Books are being (re) thought and the shift is happening, but is it happening fast enough? Watch this great video produced by SocialBooks on rethinking books.
The video hit right at home and confirmed some of the ways I’ve been thinking about books and the future of them lately.
I enjoyed the idea of reading, sharing, and learning as a community. I’ve always been a huge fan of building community and I think the future of books is much more community oriented.
In my opinion there isn’t any better way to learn and gain greater perspective then from a large community of people who are reading and sharing together – think of it as one great big book club.
The big question of “What is a book?” is changing daily and our answer for the question today is very different from what our answer will be in 2,3,4,5 years from now. The truth. Books are changing and people need to jump on board or get left in the dust.
Discussion Question: What are your thoughts on the future of books? Have you already jumped on board with this shift or are you still waiting around to see what happens? You can comment below.
