I think one of the biggest lessons to be learned as a leader is patience. Do you struggle with patience? I think all leaders are naturally impatient. When you think of a leader you think of someone who is a catalyst for change, someone who gets things done, and someone who can make things happen. Are you this person?
However, I think as leaders we also need to remember what James 5:7-8 says “Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.”
If the farmer can wait for his crops to yield, I think as leaders we must also sometimes wait for our crops to yield. The farmer cannot make his crops grow any faster, he must wait and be patient. If we as leaders can learn this valuable lesson, and apply it in our daily lives, we may save allot of time, energy, and relationships.
